Greetings ,
You may notice more new changes this month in our "GO" Newsletter as we continue to move forward with our new look. This month, we are releasing our new logo and launching our new website.
The look is clean and fresh and we hope you will find our "Media" tab helpful in obtaining past articles and interviews that will put information about organizing in your hands.
We are still under construction with a few pages on our site, such as "Our Partners" and "Forms". Having forms allows viewers to obtain free resources, which will inturn help to get you and keep you organized. Check out our new site now at www.GetOrganized.ws
On a different note, I was recently asked who our target audience is. My first thought was women. Then I had someone give me an idea. While we help everyone get organized in any area of their home or office, our specialty is moms. This includes single moms, moms who are empty nesters, moms with small children or kids going off to college, even moms with home-based businesses.
Women have a great deal of responsibilty in the home whether they work outside the home or not. Our team is highly effective in teaching you short cuts and showing you how to implement ideas that will make you more efficient. When organizing spaces, our team is brilliant in thinking through how you will use an item, where you will use it and how often. We think about issues with back problems, small kids, pets, recycling, etc.
There's a lot that goes into organizing and we want to do our best to make your home and home office run smoothly.
Let us help you get your least efficient area organized.

Bathe your Bathroom with Order
The bathroom is a small area, where many small things live. This spells C-L-U-T-T-E-R rather quickly for most people. And, if you have under-the-sink cabinets, you probably have items under there that are decades old.
When organizing a bathroom, or any other space, you first need to sort. Look for expired medication or products that you have no clue when the last time was that you used them. These types of items can be purged as you're sorting. When everything is out and surfaces are cleaned, then it's time to purge more thoroughly. Once you have finished purging, decide where items will go and in what they can be stored; it's called containerizing.
Containerizing is fun! Many times it includes shopping for products that will help keep you organized. The Container Store has a Hide "n" Sink Cabby that will give you added space on the inside of your cabinet doors.
Sterilite drawers are great for under counters or inside a closet with shelves. The drawers come in all sizes and can hold extra soaps, lotion and even his and her drawers for your own personal items.
Lastly, if you have no place to put your towels, consider using some of your wall space to install a hotel towel rack. The towel rack can hold up to 4 large towels, 4 hand towels, and 4 wash cloths. Because of its design, a wall-mounted towel rack can become part of the artwork of your bathroom. A towel rack can make your bathroomt functional, practical and beautiful. |
Mirror, Mirror on the Wall...

Since we are talking about bathrooms this month, you have to see this new product for helping you organize your bathroom.
Robern is headquartered in Bristol, Pennsylvania, where it has been located since the company's founding in 1968. Robern is the leader in residential storage solutions - creating cabinets, vanities, mirrors, lighting, and accessories for bathrooms, hallways, foyers, etc.
The cabinet pictured is a roll-up mirror. Instead of opening the mirror out like a medicine cabinet, the mirror rolls up creating lots of space behind it. It is a great space-saving idea and one that should be part of any new home or remodel. |

Look What Staging Does for your Home

Staging is an inexpensive way to make your home look better, especially if you are getting ready to put it on the market. Most agents may suggest that you hire a stager before listing your home.. but Mary Pat with Keller Williams will give you 2 free hours of staging with your listing.
The photo above is an actual client of Mary Pat's that just listed their home. Look at the before picture of their living room and then look at the after. Two very different looks.. and our GO Organizers did this by using items already in the home and in less than 2 hours.
If you're interested in buying a home...Mary Pat gives 4 hours free Professional Organizing Services with your move in. Now that's cool!

Do you have a lot of kids artwork and school work? At a craft store, purchase 12x12 scrapbook storage folders. They come in several colors (you can color code for each child) and are about 3/4 inches thick when fully expanded. Label one folder for each child per year. There is plenty of room for large size papers, too. Store the folders together in a box.

Did you Know?
Fortunately for those of us in Texas, real estate news has been pretty good compared to other parts of the country. Thankfully, Texas remains one of the best markets overall. There are still many great programs available for potential buyers and lots of changes are forthcoming!
One home buyer benefit is the continuation of the $8,000 tax incentive for first-time home buyers. In addition, there is also a $6,500 tax credit available for existing homeowners who have lived five out of the last eight years in their home and would like to move up to a new house. Both of these programs will be expiring in April, so it's wise to get started on your search soon.
Another reason to act now is to avoid some upcoming qualification changes. The Federal Housing Administration is planning to increase the amount of down payment required, increase the amount of monthly mortgage insurance premiums and raise the minimum credit score required for FHA loans. While this may retard some of the purchasing activity in a particular segment, overall these more conservative lending practices may prevent us from experiencing another huge collapse of the housing market.

Repurposing
Do you have cute candle jars that have old candle wax in the bottom? Would you like to use the candle jars for something else?
To get candle wax out of the glass jars, put your jar in the freezer.
After about 10 minutes, take a butter knife and crack the wax, dump the wax in the trash and put the glass jar in the dishwasher.
Comes out nice and clean. It can now hold Q-tips or cotton balls.
