Fascial release effects on patients with non-specific cervical or lumbar pain
An article occasionally comes along that really attracts my attention. For years fascial restrictions have been essentially non-detectable. This study, which is currently in press by the Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies, does just that! Using dynamic ultrasound, they were able to image the change of sliding movements between superficial and deep fascia layers in the neck, among other things. To me, this is quite an advancement in fascia science. (OK, I get excited about these things!).
