MFRmail Newsletter Practice Tip
I never thought that something as simple as a ball of chalk could help so much in the clinic. I was turned onto it by a fellow therapist who suffered from excessively sweaty palms. The chalk absorbs the perspiration and keeps your grip intact with your client. Even without sweaty palms, I find that it really can make a difference in lessening the force needed to stay in contact. For those clients who forget to omit the body lotion, the chalk can really make a difference. Purchase a chalk ball at any outdoor recreation type store (Eastern Mountain Sports, etc) or check it out at MyofascialResource.com.

MFRmail Newsletter Treatment Tip
One of the most powerful self-treatment stretches that your client can perform is using a 4" ball under the hip flexors. Most clients with back or pelvis pain and pelvic scar tissue can benefit from this stretch. I've created a PDF file of this stretch for you to print out, on your own letterhead, that guides your client through this process. Find it on MyofascialResource.com

Myofascial Release Practitioner Directory
The Directory continues to draw clients to MFR therapists around the country. Very affordable and searchable from all major search engines thousands of potential clients have been drawn to the Myofascial Release Practitioner Directory.
Note: Directory members can now submit a photo and/or logo for inclusion onto the directory. Most formats are acceptable, so e-mail me your photo and/or logo to highlight your practice.
Spend your advertising dollars wisely without compromising quality and visibility. The cost is only $40 per year, almost one-tenth the cost of other MFR directories. Find out more about the Myofascial Release Practitioner Directory here.

Website Spotlight
This month I want to highlight another MFR practitioner's website. Amy Beyer, LAT, WCMT, at Natural Balance Therapy in Pewaukee, WI has created an informative website that demonstrates many of the marketing principles that I have been speaking about over the past few months. She publishes a quarterly newsletter and features a prominent sign-up box to capture email addresses. Additionally, she has an "Ask Amy' section, where interested people can email a question to her, which is a sure-fire way to draw interested clientele. Give her website a view. |
