JANUARY 2011

Happy New Year Penguin2Greetings!

Happy New Year !

Welcome to the January Issue of the Penguin Press. Look for it each month in your inbox.

From the Marketing Igloo

If a Penguin tweets in a forest but there is no one around to hear it, does it make a sound?

What? Penguins tweet? You betcha ... and if the 'forest' is the myriad of social networking methodologies that seemingly crop up every day, the Dryvit family needs to be connected. One tweet is a small voice but many is a cacophony and as we all know, a lot of Penguins (called a 'Waddle' ... remember that!) can make a lot of noise!

Dryvit is on Twitter, as "DryvitSystems"... and we encourage you to "follow" us. We are using Twitter to both promote what we do and to have some fun, via contests and opportunities to engage us. Our goal, simply, is to steadily increase our number of followers, and attract both their and their followers' attention to what we do, and drive them to our website.  That's what "networking" is all about. It's free, it's fun, and we think it has value as a small part of our steadily growing ePR campaign.

We'll look for you ... and you'll hear from us!

What Does ISO Certification Really Mean

Dryvit has held both ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 for many years now.  What does that really mean to you?  ISO recognition is not just a one-time certification, but rather an on-going process that requires monthly committee meetings at all production facilities and Dryvit's headquarters, annual audits by ISO professionals, management board meetings with high-level executives, and daily documentation for production batches, safety issues, procedures and processes.

All this combines to ensure the best quality products are produced for our customers every day. Dryvit operates by four objectives. They are, in order of importance:

  • Safety
  • Quality
  • Service
  • Cost

We never sacrifice a higher objective for a lower one!

This is one more example of the Dryvit Difference.
Go To Training

Dryvit's GoToTraining Program kicked off the New Year with two trainings in January. They focused on Dryvit's Commercial PowerPoint Presentation and the new StratoTone Colorant Program.

The dates and topics are set for February as follows:

    Presenter:  Bill Preston
  • February 18 - "Why having a relationship with GC's is so important"
    Presenter:  JW Mollohan

Although the topics are not yet confirmed, the March dates are March 4 and March 18. Mark your calendars now and look for your e-invitation the Monday before each training.
