Product Showcase
Backstop® NT-VB

In response to market demand from architects and specifiers, we are pleased to introduce a new product:  Backstop NT-VB air/water resistive barrier. Green in color, Backstop NT-VB has been specifically formulated to meet the requirements of a Class 1 (less than 0.1 Perms) vapor barrier as defined by the 2009 International Building Code, when used in accordance with our application instructions. It is liquid applied and can be submitted when project specifications call for a vapor barrier over a Dryvit-approved substrate. It may also be promoted for use under a variety of claddings, in addition to Dryvit systems.

Backstop NT-VB is available from all plants. A data sheet (DS829), specifications (DS830), and application instructions (DS831) are available on the website.
Project Showcase
Marriot Courtyard at Clemson

"In Season, Every Season" is Clemson, South Carolina's motto, and the city's newest hotel is a great example. The Marriot Courtyard at Clemson was finished earlier this year and is the perfect addition to the college town. Most visitors to the new hotel probably think the exterior is the traditional clay brick they're accustomed to seeing around these parts, but it's actually Dryvit Custom Brick™ Finish. Not only do the owners and town residents benefit from the classic beauty of the structure and the lifetime of energy savings, but guests of the hotel will enjoy other benefits that the Outsulation® Plus MD System brings to the project: consistent interior temperature and quieter rooms!

Storage of Dry Bagged Goods

As a reminder, all dry bagged products must be protected from moisture and weather. The bags should be stored off the ground in a cool, dry location, out of direct sunlight. If the bagged product is warm or hot, the pot life of the mixture will be reduced. If you have any questions, please contact your Dryvit Field Service Manager.
