Yes, business is slow; but there is still work going on.  We're not seeing the large projects as we once did; however, there are still a lot of projects being built/renovated.  In fact, for the month of June, over 65,000, project leads were entered or updated in Dryvit's Dodge database-2,500 of these specifically noted EIFS.

Bright Ideas
What a Great Idea!
Last month, Dale Serroka from Capitol Building Supply in Virginia, came up with the idea to have a "Classified" column in our Penguin Press. This way if anyone is looking to sell, buy or trade any products, machines, etc or to just exchange ideas; they could do so for FREE through our monthly Penguin Press. Since this was a Bright Idea by Dale, we decided to add a "Classified" section to our Distributor Community Tool Box, on the Dryvit website, as well! Thank you, Dale, for the Bright Idea!
Anyone looking to add to the Classified column, please email Jennifer at jennifer.elliott@dryvit.com

B&B Theatre: New Building, New Location
Historic Downtown Hannibal, MI, with buildings dating back to the 19th century as well as the boyhood home of Mark Twain seemed like the perfect location to build the new B&B Theratre.
Operation Outsulation Stimulus is in full swing.  Letters have gone out, follow-up calls have been made, and now it is time to once again contact your local officials to keep "Outsulation" front and center in their planning process.

From The Emperor Penguin
"Good, Better, Best:"  Is this a valuable marketing tool for Wall Claddings?
Dryvit only has one level of quality in its product line - the Best we know how to make!  After forty years in this industry, we cannot understand why anyone would want use a product that is not the best.  We can understand that manufacturers want to sell cheaper products to compete with Dryvit, but why would anyone want less than the best on their building.  Especially when using the best is only a few cents more per square foot then the "good" or "better."
Dryvit offers a variety of Systems to meet the needs of the Architect, Building Owners, Project Type, Climate, and Code Officials.  Each of These systems is the Best System and uses the highest quality products for the intended application supported by strong warranties.  We categorically reject the idea of producing lower grades of "good" or "better" anything.
Unfortunately, good, better, best in Wall Claddings really means cheaper and lower quality and adds confusion to our industry.
Dryvit is and continues to be built on the foundation of producing only the best quality products and designing the best EIF Systems for our customers.
