Logopress3 2009 SP1 is now available from the Logopress3 website. There is also a new SP1 available for 123GO users. (Logopress3 users do not need to download the 123GO upgrade since Logopress3 already includes 123GO Advanced.)
You may always check to see if you are using the newest and greatest LP3 release by going to the home page of the Logopress3 website where the current version information is always listed. To download the latest version, go to the Quick Links area on this same page and sign-in by using your e-mail address. As a user you may request the latest version link and/or the latest "what's new" documentation.

"Logopress3 provides an extensive library of Standard Components (punches, buttons, springs, fasteners, etc.) as native Solidworks part files. They can be inserted (with catalog numbers and all the corresponding holes) into the design with just a couple of clicks. Custom made components (die plates) are quickly inserted, resized and positioned into the tool design. There are also dozens of tool & die specific functions which greatly reduce design time. "I recently had 2 jobs that had several changes done in the strip layout and design stages of the die. The strip tweaking and optimizations were easy to do, but for one strip, the part was rotated and flipped upside down from the original concept and although it was still work, I would have dreaded the task without using LogoPress3.
The standard components module does a great job of inserting standard components and the management of their features in the respective plates for them. Although I haven't used the new BOM features in the new version yet, I have played with it. I can say they are very powerful and will make the BOM generation and ballooning of designs much easier to do."

"As for one thing in particular I like about Logopress3 that would be the round draw module. This module has been a big timesaver for me. I have a customer that I design draw dies for and before I purchased Logopress3 I would spend a substantial amount of time calculating the draws, strip width, and progression. With Logopress3 I am able to design a strip layout for a draw in 15 to 30 minutes depending on the complexity of the part. If I need a quick strip for quotation purposes I can do that in 5 minutes. So like I mentioned the round draw has been a huge timesaver for me.
I may have something I like better about the product next month, but I have been working with a lot of draws since January so I have really enjoyed working the draw module."
