There are a number of phishing scams by email appearing as of late. Some of these fraudulent emails claim to provide iTunes receipts and others disguise their attachments as UPS or FedEx tracking receipts. Typically, you can identify these as scams by their "zipped" attachment to the email. As a rule of thumb, unless you are working directly with someone who is sending you a zipped file, you should not open such a file, nor should you click on a link. Below is another example of a phishing scam that has been circulating email inboxes within our communities. Thank you for your prompt attention.

Your Federal Tax Payment has been failed. ID: 0103678160
Cc:
Your Federal Tax Payment ID: 010375104 has been rejected. Return Reason Code R21 - The identification number used in the Company Identification Field is not valid.
