Fewer Password Requirements for Online Banking

While the Bank continues to focus on identity security, we want your daily banking activities to be as simple as possible.  For this reason, we have reduced password requirements to improve speed and minimize set-backs you encounter when banking online.

Here are the new measures you can expect:

You will not have to change your password as often.  Your password will now be required to be changed every 120 days, no longer every 90 days.

Passwords will be shorter and easier to remember.  Special characters will no longer be required in the password.  Your password will still need to be at least six characters, consisting of at least one upper case letter, one lower case letter and one number.

More chances to remember your password.  You will be given three unsuccessful attempts - no longer two - before the system locks you out.

Longer breaks between account logins.  Previously, the online banking system automatically cancels your password if you had not accessed your online account in at least 20 days.  The period has been extended to 30 days of dormant account activity before your password is cancelled.

We hope you find added convenience from the reduction in password requirements for Online Banking.  Also, we encourage you to continue to create challenging passwords, record them where only you can access, and to change your password at least every three months.

Thank you for your business!
