How to run your own Dancercise Kids business
You've been asking and we've been working on it. Many of you have commented on how much you love our music and our curriculum. Greetings!
The end of the year is almost upon us and perhaps you're thinking ahead to teaching in January. Here at Dancercise Kids, we're heading into our Fitness Fun quarter! We'll focus on teaching the kids about Nutrition, Healthy Habits and Muscles, with fifteen songs and dances on these topics over the next three months.
We love this part of our curriculum because it's often around this time of year - especially in colder climates like right here in Minnesota - that kids are staying inside and enjoying the treats of the season. But we all know how important it is to keep a balance in our diet, exercise and activities, and it's a great time to remind the kids of all the vital aspects of a healthy lifestyle. The great thing is: you can do it with song and dance - the best way to teach and to learn. We hope to be sending out these newsletters once a quarter or so to let you know what we're up to in our curriculum. REMEMBERING TO WARM UP

 The Importance Of That Stretching
It's especially important this time of year if you're in a colder climate, but good practice anyway, to remind even your youngest students to stretch and warm up before they start any form of physical activity. But there's no need to make that into a boring set of exercises, especially for difficult for busy young minds. At Dancercise, each month's curriculum includes a Fitness song that emphasizes the "Muscle Of The Month" for the kids and gives them a fun way to warm up before you kick into the curriculum. EATING RIGHT

 No Need To Lecture
You know what kids like to eat and it's not always the healthiest things in life. With busy parents, and a hectic schedule, sometimes it's very hard for families to find time to prepare and enjoy a nutritious meal. In our Fitness Fun Quarter, we dedicate a whole unit to Nutrition - helping the kids learn a few tips about eating right while they're learning their jazz, tap and ballet steps. We have a Mouse With An Appetite that is always looking for a balanced meal, and of course Betsy Bunny is forever digging into Farmer Joe's field to find the delicious vegetables and fruit planted there. It seems he plants them just for her...what a nice farmer!
