Hospital Conference Call: Focus on Employer Role in a Quit-Tobacco System
WHA Please mark your calendar for the next statewide hospital conference call on August 26, 2009 from 9:00-10:30am. We will provide a tutorial on our new online Workplace Health Assessment. It is a simple online tool that evaluates healthy policies in the workplace and guides employers to help employees quit tobacco, eat healthier and get more physical activity while at work. Through our grant with The Duke Endowment, the assessment, which is valued at $1000 for access, is free to NC Hospitals. The assessment will help you put all of the pieces of worksite wellness together and identify clear action steps for continuous improvement in all three prevention focus areas.

During the tutorial, we will walk through the section of the Workplace Health Assessment that evaluates an employer's role in helping employees quit tobacco.

It is recommended that a wellness and/or human resources representative be present for this conference call.
