Congratulations to all the hospitals participating in the
NC Fax Referral Challenge by connecting patients to the
NC Tobacco Use Quitline and a special round of applause for Carolinas Medical Center for referring over 230 employees and patients so far this year!
The
Challenge will run through April and awards will be given to the top large, medium, and small hospitals, as well as the hospital that generates the highest number of accepted services, at NC Prevention Partners' Annual Meeting on June 3, 2009. Our next Fax Referral Challenge will begin in July, so if your hospital has not been participating, get ready to start in July.

Telecom report: 1203 total inbound calls were received; 201 were
early abandons, and 77 were routed Direct to Quit Coach. 862 calls
came in via the English line and 63 were via the Spanish line.
Fax Referral reports: 144 fax referrals were received.
Of those, 44% accepted services (55% enrolled in the One-Call program, 41%
enrolled in the Multiple-Call program, 1% requested Materials Only, 3% asked

Adult Demographic report: 56% of Tobacco Users
were female and 91% were not pregnant.

Registered Callers requested an Intervention; 93% of Tobacco Users requested an
Intervention and 4% of those Tobacco Users were pregnant.
