Fax referrals to the NC Quitline tripled in August
bedside counselingIn the first month of our fax referral challenge, you have nearly triped the number of people ready to quit who have been sent to the free NC Tobacco Use Quitline. If you haven't started, read about our Fax Referral Challenge, and keep the referrals coming!

August Stats to the Quitline
1.  Carolinas Medical Center - 18 fax referrals
2.  UNC Hospitals - 16 fax referrals
3.  FirstHealth - 10 fax referrals
4.  Duke University Hospital - 9 fax referrals 


Congratulations to Onslow Memorial Hospital for launching their tobacco-free policy on September 1, 2008 and to Granville Medical Center and Washington County Hospital that are going tobacco-free today! We applaud your efforts!
