2009 Annual General Meeting Survey

Your opinion matters to us, and we are requesting feedback from you.

Which date do you prefer for the annual general meeting in 2009? Late October or early November?

Would you like vendors present at the meeting? Would you like more professional development?

Please respond to BC Innkeepers with either October or November in the subject line, and yes or no for vendors and/or professional development.
Olympic Update
Suggestions for 2010

Over the past few months, members of the board have met with  representatives from VANOC, Vancouver City and  Vancouver Tourism. From these meetings we have compiled some "suggestions" that should maximize your benefits from the Olympics while maintaining the good standing of Guild members with the various tourist authorities and the general public. These forms are for guidance only. The board is not trying to tell you how to run your business, other than in an ethical manner. Soon on the Guild website's Members Lounge you will find:
  • Information sheet, which covers such areas as rates, deposits, cancellations, minimum booking, damage deposits, confirmations, guest identification and more.
  • Conditional reservation form.
  • Reservation confirmation form.
All of these you can download and utilize.
Let us emphasize that the proposals are based on the many discussions held with the various interest groups and are for your information only. You can follow the suggestions or ignore them.

Thistledown GeorgePhoto
of the Month

Isn't he a thing of beauty? His name is George.

Rex and Ruth of ThistleDown House in North Vancouver won this six-inch-
long clay mosquito (created by Baycroft Studios in Prince George) at the AGM  and proudly display him outside the B&B. A mosquito this big could only come from the North.

If you have a photo you'd like to share with newsletter readers, please e-mail the commun-
ications team.
