Membership Reminder
Ingrid VermegenIt's Renewal Time!
As our membership year comes to an end Sept. 30, less than two weeks from now, it is time to renew your membership in the British Columbia B&B Innkeepers Guild (BC Innkeepers).

What has your Guild been doing for you in 2008?
  • 65,000 copies of another exceptional brochure were distributed throughout B.C.  Advertising revenue was up and allowed us to increase distribution.  Members who sold advertising received a commission.
  • Our new website, which launched in August of 2007, reached the top of the listings for British Columbia B&B on Google. The site continues to be further developed for ease of use and with additional features.
  • Your Marketing Committee has continued to build increased exposure for, and recognition of, the Guild by placing advertising on key online sites and in premier publications.
  • Several special member rates for online exposure were negotiated on behalf of Guild members on Come Explore Canada, BC Travel Guide and EatBC.
  • Discussions have continued with Tourism BC on potential marketing avenues, Olympic opportunities, and how we can improve the profile of the B&B industry in BC.
  • Our Regional Reps have been out in their regions visiting new applicants and inviting prospective members to your meetings, and actively promoting networking among regional members.
  • Your Board of Directors, there are just five of us, has met on a regular basis, including several conference calls during the summer, to deal with Guild business and opportunities on your behalf.

Membership and marketing rates remain the same for the upcoming year, yet you are getting more value.  For just $95 you can be part of this professional association of quality bed and breakfasts. For another $150 you get a photo listing in the brochure. An additional $195 gives you a listing Guild website, but that cost is reduced to $95 if the Guild logo (that you must have on your website) links back to the Guild site.

In addition this year, you can continue your two-month FREE listing on BCTravelGuide.ca for a very low $25 per year. You're already listed on that site, compliments of the Guild, you just have to check the appropriate box on your renewal form to continue that listing at well below the regular rate. It's a great deal!

In 2009 British Columbia will have an ever increasing profile on the world stage with the upcoming 2010 Winter Olympic Games, and I'm sure you want to be there with all the exposure for your business that you can get.  RENEW TODAY!
