Dear ,

APC

The Chapter Event on Tuesday 24th November is closed now, so if you haven't registered, you are missing out on a good networking opportunity, and a chance to earn PDU's!   It is the last event for this year.

Thanks to those who have already volunteered to help with the PMI Congress Asia Pacific, next February; but we can still do with more.

Finally, although the 24 November event is the last monthly event, and it's closed, why not get on board with your training instead - or do both (if you are registered for the event already)?  There are still a few places left in courses in December, and lots of courses already scheduled for next year.  Check them out - see the article below for details.

Regards,

Lindsay Whitehead,
Communications Director

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

2010 PMI Congress Asia Pacific

The Melbourne Chapter is the host Chapter for the Asia Pacific PMI Congress to be held in February 2010.   The chapter is seeking VOLUNTEERS who would like to be involved with the Congress.   THIS IS A BIG EVENT, so we need you to seriously consider helping!

The Volunteer roles will include:
  • Volunteer Manager (team lead)
  • Volunteer Coordinators
  • Leadership Session monitors
  • Leadership Collateral Support
  • Area of Focus Session Monitors
  • Materials Pickup, Bookstore Support, Registration Support and Chapter Table Support
  • General volunteers.
Volunteers are a very important part of the Melbourne Chapter.  We are successful because our volunteers are committed and enthusiastic people who work alongside the Melbourne Chapter Board of Directors to deliver services to our members and to the project management community.   Volunteers contribute significantly to enhancing the experiences we can offer to members and guests.    (And they earn PDU's.)

REGISTER your interest in Volunteering by completing the Volunteer Form in the Chapter's Web Site.

Melbourne Chapter support for MOVEMBER

The Movember Foundation is a not-for-profit, charitable organisation which runs the men's health initiative, Movember. Each year, they are responsible for the appearance of moustaches on thousands of men's faces across the globe, with the aim of raising vital funds and awareness for men's health, specifically prostate cancer and depression in men.
The Melbourne Chapter is privileged to have one of its members participating. Paul O'Connor is sacrificing himself and growing a Mo for Movember. Please be generous in your support of Paul and his friends (the Moditor-Generals) in the fund raising endeavours.
To donate to this worthy cause and support Paul and the Moditor-Generals go to: http://au.movember.com/mospace/10442/

Remember, all donations over $2 are tax deductible.
