PMI Releases a New System to Improve PDU Reportingclaim view pdus

Claim my PDUs Now, you and all PMI credential holders can take advantage of a new and improved online system to manage your professional development units (PDUs) and your professional development activities.

The new system is faster and easier so you don't spend so much time on administrative tasks and you can focus on your career.
PMI released a new system to support the Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR) program in August. It was designed based on feedback and requests from the community of credential holders and continuing education providers.

The system features a single repository where you can access and browse PDU offerings and claim PDUs needed to maintain your credential.

Also, PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) and PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) credential holders are now able to use the new online system to submit PDU claims whereas before, they had to submit PDUs by paper form.

The new CCR System allows you to:
  • Report PDUs quicker and easier with a new graphical interface;
  • View real-time updates to your transcript; and
  • Look up information on PDU-generating activities in which you can participate.

The new system is also more convenient. Sign-on once to PMI.org and gain access to the new CCR system and other PMI systems available to you.

If you earn PDUs through a PMI community or PMI Registered Education Provider, your access to their information is also improved because they also use the same system to update their activity information.

Also, PMI staff has increased ability to view, process and manage the PDU-related information so we can do a better job of helping you maintain your PMI credentials.

For more details, check out the FAQs.  You can direct any questions you have about the new online CCR System to PMI Customer Care.

PM Behavioural Index Survey

Attributes of a high-performing Project Manager, by the PMO Executive Council, was a ground-breaking report.  It identified that there is no demonstrative link between certification and Project Manager effectiveness. What really matters are behavioural attributes, that is "how" PMs apply their technical skills and expertise.

The research found that due to growing project compexity and criticality, business now demands a new breed of PM. To achieve this, organisations must embed behavioural attributes into their PM recruitment, development and performance management processes.

The PM Behavioural Index Survey has been developed and launched by behavioural consultancy experts Acuity, to measure the extent to which organisations have implemented these recomendations and hence to gauge their progress towards achieving Next-Generation PM capability.
