"Faith in You"
"Your work is to discover your world and then
with all your heart give yourself to it."
Buddha
It seems at times that the world is topsy-turvy with military conflicts, severe weather events, acts of violence in schools and temples, financial challenges and more. Many are going through personal crisis and it takes more effort to be centered and not slide into the despair of gloom and doom. And yet, our very heartbeat is our ever present reminder that love is always present. Even in the midst of struggle, love has not abandoned us. Love is at our core and teaches us about ourselves through our experiences.
TO BE A LISTENER. I am a messenger. Through listening to my inner voice, to loved ones and Spirit, I find myself reflecting on the themes that are processing through everyone. I look at the challenges with inquiry in order to learn and grow and to know how to offer the best support. Some of the challenges are intense and deep and difficult to witness. Spirit engages me in this journey and I find myself listening, feeling, seeking, observing, contemplating, learning, growing, and gaining much through this experience. When we deepen our commitment to listening, we open the door to greater understanding and expansion.
TO BE A PEACEMAKER. I believe in peace and that place within each of us that is completely calm and in full trust no matter what the circumstances are. That does not mean we don't experience fear, pain and suffering. Life is experienced through all of the emotions. When fear knocks at my heart, I acknowledge and feel it while knowing that the "realness" of it is fleeting, temporary and not something to get lost in. We can learn from it even though it is uncomfortable and not our preference. Peace comes from that deep inner place of trusting the process and knowing love is still present and available. It is up to us to turn out attention to that truth.
TO UNDERSTAND SUFFERING. Learning through life's experiences can include suffering for ourselves and for others. We often suffer for and with the ones we care about and even ones we don't know. When we attach ourselves to the suffering of another, we do not alleviate their pain, we join it. In the center of suffering, love is still present and available. When we can lovingly hold ourselves or another in love and compassion without blaming, we are aligning with the highest good operating in that moment.
TO UNDERSTAND RESPONSIBILITY. At a very young age, we are taught to project responsibility for our suffering onto other people, events and even society. Part of our awakening is to take personal responsibility for the people and events in our lives. We all have said or heard comments like: "it's not my fault", "this never should have happened" or "so and so did it". There are many ways to blame, and yet, there is nothing to blame. We attract into our lives who and what we need to grow and moving beyond blame is to heal the victim attitude. Our empowerment lies in accepting self responsibility for our behavior without blame or guilt. This returns our focus to what is real, self love and the ability to share it.
TO BE LOVE. To me, Love IS God/Goddess, Spirit, Source, whatever name you give to the Divine. That is our heart's fuel and the common denominator in all of us. How it is expressed differs for everyone. With love in the core of our being, we can know our safety and our value. From this place, self love is true and known with faith. As our self love expresses more freely, we can strip away the layers of fear, pain and suffering like peeling an onion. The layers are not to be judged as they have been stepping stones to the discovery of self love.
TO BE COMPASSION. A compassionate heart is an understanding and giving heart. It is the ability to see oneself in others without judgment. Imagine walking in the shoes of someone else with empathy and understanding. Compassion allows us to love freely, care deeply and desire the uplifting of another. It is also knowing that the same spark of love and divinity lies within each of us.
TO BE YOU. Our highest calling is to be here now living fully, expressing our gifts through divine inspiration. Your highest calling is to be you. As we travel together through this earthly life, let us remember that we are here together, on purpose.
Your gift is my treasure and my gift is your treasure. While we each continue to grow through change and challenges, through inspiration and creativity, we all awaken individually and collectively to the love we are. Love is where we meet and know each other. Knowing this deep within our heart center is to know God/Goddess, Spirit, Source, Divinity within.
May Our Love flow.
