It is insightful for us to review the events and experiences of the ending year while looking forward to the New Year. The year 2008 brought us new insights, new beginnings and personal expansion. It also awakened our individuality, independence, uniqueness as well as our sense of leadership and responsibility.
Additional themes that 2008 brought us include: simplifying, organizing for efficiency and practicality as well as the streamlining of financial matters. We have also seen a collective wave of increased responsibility for the care of the planet. In an election year, we have seen a significant focus on personal values and the expression of those values. Personal involvement created a collective wave pointing this country in a new direction.
In evaluating the changes and growth of the past year, look for all the reasons to be grateful. Gratitude is a unique vibration that assists in healing hurts and disappointments while reinforcing the benefits of all the positive occurrences. Even a small amount of gratitude can lift a heavy heart and open doors. It helps us focus on the positive that turns our attention away from pain and fear. In a year filled with heightened emotions with highs and lows, gratitude is the elixir of comfort.
This is also an excellent time to look at ways to create what you want for the upcoming year. Look at what is inspiring you and get excited about creating it. Creating is a powerful and continual process. Utilize that power within you that is mighty and vast, fuel it with your vision, your desire and your trust.
Remember the profound nature of GRACE and your birthright to call upon it at any time. The Law of Grace is a divine force in the Universe and it is yours to receive. When the circumstances of life are challenging, call upon GRACE. When creating something new in your life, call upon GRACE. By aligning with GRACE, you focus your intention, thoughts and feelings in a positive direction creating receptivity in you. Once you are receptive and allowing, you draw from that force what you need.
As the year 2008 closes, the way is prepared for the New Year of 2009 that will focus on our personal and collective balancing of power, defining authority, defining relationships, speaking our truth and developing our mastery. Let us move forward into 2009 with intention and joy.
In the words of Buddha:
"We are what we think.
All that we are arises with our thoughts.
With our thoughts, we make the world."
