On June 17, the college will begin moving into the new Campus Center on the southeast corner of the campus.

 

This will involve 26 departments and over 200 employees from three separate buildings moving to 115,000 square feet of newly constructed space on three floors.

Local Nutritionist Talks Raw Food Benefits, Recipes with Healthy Chefs Club 

 

The JJC Healthy Chefs Club held a raw food discussion and demonstration on March 30 where raw food nutrition educator Kristen Gurnitz Bernier explained the benefits of a raw food diet and demonstrated how to make a green smoothie and juice.


Bernier teaches raw food nutrition in the community as well as demonstrates recipes, offers pantry cleanouts, grocery shop-a-longs and menu planning.

Recognitions

 

The Office of Student Activities would like to thank everyone who participated in the 2011 North Will All College Relay for Life event on March 25 and March 26 at Lewis University.


The event raised $31,276.93 to support the American Cancer Society's efforts. JJC had five teams participate in the event, including the JJC nursing team which raised $4,818.50 and Trees of Soul which raised $1,213.44. Both were top fundraisers.  Donations are still being accepted to meet the original event goal of $35,000. To donate, visit  www.relayforlifenorthwillcollege.com for details.
