A Winter's Tale A Musical Dickens of A Christmas Carol
|
Dear ,
Our annual fall musical is a Y.E.S. tradition. This year we're preparing a special gift for the community -- a musical adaptation of Dickens' A Christmas Carol, the rich 1843 story of spiritual renewal and redemption that has become a holiday favorite for children and adults of many faiths.
We encourage you to share the story with your children before they see the musical. The original book makes a wonderful family read-aloud, or you can download a lively audiobook version (for free, here!), check out an audio CD at the library (narrated by Jonathan Winters), or watch one of the many film adaptations. See the sidebar for our particular favorites.

Another way to extend the theatrical experience for your family is to preview the set design sketches shown here. Set designer Tom Brown also created The Secret Garden for MWT Mainstage last season.
If you have any questions about Winter's Tale before you see the show, be sure to let us know!
