Mike McClintock Rides RAAM!

Mike McClintockMike McClintock of Wooster is riding in the solo division of the Race Across America (RAAM). He left Oceanside, CA last Wednesday, June 15, and has already biked over 500 miles, some of it through 104-degree heat. As the Rocky Mountains loom ahead, Mike has 2,500 miles to go before the races ends in Annapolis, MD.

Century Cycles is honored to be one of Mike McClintock's RAAM sponsors and is proud that Tom Wiseman, Assistant Service Manager in our Medina store, is on his crew. Tom's technical skills have already been valuable - while Mike was sleeping night before last, Tom converted the gearing on Mike's bike to help him climb more efficiently.

How many Century Cycles Night Rides have you biked? How many Century Cycles Night Rides have you biked?

We're looking forward to the Pajama Party Night Ride on the Towpath Trail on June 25, and we hope you are, too! Will this be your first Night Ride, or are you a Night Riding veteran? Let us know by taking our latest online poll.

With last month's Night Ride postponed due to rainy and stormy weather, we asked the question, "When is it too rainy for you to ride?'" The results were fairly mixed, with 33% of the respondents saying "Light, steady rain," and 30% saying "Monsoon-like heavy downpour." 9% said "It's never too rainy for me to ride." You can see the full results of the last poll here.
