How much maintenance do you do on your own bicycle?
Speaking of bike maintenance, we're curious to know--how many of you currently work on your own bikes? If so, how much of the work do you tackle on your own? Are you terrified of trying to fix anything on your own, do you fix everything yourself, or are you somewhere in-between? Let us know by taking our latest online poll. With winter weather in full force, last month's online poll asked, " How cold is too cold to ride your bicycle?" The top answer was "below freezing," with 27% of the vote, although there was not overwhelming majority--23% said "below 45 degrees," following by 21% saying "any temperature, as long as it's not raining or snowing." You can see the full results of the last poll here.

5 Tips: Kickstands Ah, the lowly kickstand. Some would never consider owning a bike without a kickstand, but to others, it's the equivalent of wearing white shoes after Labor Day. Should you use a kickstand? What issues do you need to think about when deciding? Does it depend on what kind of bike you have? All this and more is discussed in the latest of our "5 Tips" series, which you can find here: 5 Tips: Kickstands
