2012 SWD Fall Convention
Quartets - Quartets Everywhere!
This year's convention has brought some amazing challenges to the Events Team. One of the biggest challenges is the large amount of quartets that are destined to hit the stage at the Hyatt Regency. So much so that a triple panel has been put in place and it might grow into a quadruple panel.
It is imperative that all eligible quartets and choruses enter the contest as soon as possible so proper planning can be done.
NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ALLOWED

The Tulsa Tones Quartet
An All Star Moment
On a recent Saturday The Tulsa Tones Quartet, members of the Founders Chorus, were honored to sing the National Anthem at a Tulsa Drillers Baseball game. The Tulsa Drillers are a double A affiliate of the National League Champion, Colorado Rockies, of the Texas League. We also shared the field with The Dallas Cheer Leaders. Following the Anthem the Quartet sang for the fans in attendance during the game with an enthusiastic response.
The next day we received an invitation from the Drillers event manager to return on Thursday to sing for the fans and in the corporate suites during the League's annual All Star Game. We enjoyed making some fans for barbershop.
In the picture, Tulsa Tones from left to right are: Charlie Drake-Tenor, Doug Campbell-Lead, Tom Pickard-Bass, Jan Skinner-Baritone.
Congratulations to Carl Esser. Spring Chapter's Barbershopper of the Year for 2011!
