Administration Proposes FY 2009  Federal Budget
President Bush introduced his proposed federal fiscal year 2009 budget earlier this week. While most of the proposals have been already rejected by House and Senate Democratic leadership, the administration's budget serves as a starting point for this year's budget and appropriations process. HHS Activity Last Year & Potential Action in '08

TANF Rules Finalized
This week, the administration also published the final rule implementing the TANF changes made in the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005. The Center on Law and Social Policy prepared a seven page summary of the rule. For those of you who may wish to view the actual February 5 Federal Register rule, you may do so by clicking here.
