YSU exceeds campaign goal of $45,000 by 32%
The 2009 YSU United Way Campaign, chaired by Dr. Cyndy Anderson, exceeded its goal of $45,000. To date, their campaign has raised over $59,200! Dr. Anderson formed a strong steering committee of over 30 members to assist in the campaign, and, together, they have come up with creative ideas to have a successful campaign.
The campaign started in October with a kick-off celebration and concluded last week at the annual Holiday Breakfast. One of the fun incentives for the campaign was a TV donated by the labor unions. For every $100 donated, donors received one entry into the drawing. The winner, Dr. David Stout, Accounting and Finance, was drawn at the breakfast last Thursday.
Several fundraisers were held on campus during the campaign including a parking space raffle by the College of Health and Human Services, a Senate Challenge, a bake sale by the College of Education, and donations from the Greek Organizations. Another fundraiser was the Penny Wars in the College of Fine and Performing Arts.

Special thanks go to Dr. Cyndy Anderson, Donna Greenaway, Greg Gulas, members of the Steering Committee, and the faculty and students at YSU for a job well done!
