What an amazing meeting we had at the Seaport's Wintergarden on Wednesday February 29, 2012. Mother nature did her part to ensure the Winter Garden was appropriately dressed for the occassion, and even with her wintery weather, she couldn't keep away the better than 100 GBCA Members who attended our first meeting of 2012.
Our meeting was themed " A Taste of The Seaport" during the social portion of the program our membership enjoyed a taste of the variety of cuisine available to our guests in the seaport area. A heart felt thank you to all the fantastic restaurants who participated. Gina of Morton's really took the helm to organize this impressive group of restaurants and we are forever appreciative of her fantastic effort and success.
Upon arrival our members recieved a new name badge for use during each meeting and will be recycled for each meeting. Our GBCA board was there to greet everyone on arrival.
During the business portion of our meeting we had Mr. Sean Ford of the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museums as our guest speaker.....a natural public speaker he shared an exciting talk that was both educational and informative. Sean, has an infectious passion for the history and accuracy for which this exciting new museum and historical sight will open with.. We look forward to it's Grand opening and being some of the first to learn of all it will have to offer our visitors.

On behalf of Bay State Cruise Company I would like to thank the Board and yourself for the opportunity to sponsor the soft drink portion of Wednesday's event.
"The Taste of the Seaport was a phenomenal event"
From the easy check-in, lanyard name badges, increase of participation and generous gift bags, you have clearly set the tone of the coming year.
In addition to the above, the Wintergarden was clearly the canvas of a grand buffet presentation that featured numerous food options provided by a diverse group of vendors that was plentiful and delicious on all counts.
Shawn Ford delivered a great presentation, and a special thank you to Dina Truehart. We are clearly lucky to have such a great partner of the GBCA.

I wanted to take time out to thank you and the board for putting together such a memorable GBCA meeting last night at the Winter Garden.
Each vendor was so friendly and professional. It was a wonderful mix of various foods. Each table was so nicely presented.
Having served on the board for ten years and rarely missed any meetings in the past 20+ years I have to say this was my favorite and many, many attendees agreed.
Thank you again for for taking the time and effort to raise the GBCA to a new level.
Ann
Just wanted to say congratulations on a great event last night! It was a fantastic way to get to know the restaurants in that area and have time to mingle with the concierges and other associates.
Best,
Ashley Gonyaw
The email congratulations and thanks continued to flow from folks who ironically already displayed amazing generosity to the GBCA.....with amazing heartfelt gratitude.
The following is a an email from our friend Alec Riveros at Barbara Lynch's Menton.
Betty, Just a quick note to thank you for inviting both Menton and Sportello to attend the event last week. It ws great to reconnect with some of the concierges that I had not seen in a while.
More importantly it was great to see all of the Seaport restaurants come together for the concierges of Boston.
We hope this is a trend for the year to come and look forward to everyone's perticipaton and suggestions. Our trade show is coming soon and we will have ample opportunity to showcase every neighborhood of our city.
