PRESIDENT'S INVITATION

Hello GBCA Members,

President's message for the May 12th meeting:

Hi all,

This meeting at the Commandant's House in the Charlestown Navy Yard is going to be one lollapalooza!  Just about everything that you will need to know about upcoming tours to offer our guests this summer, including a presentation by Sail Boston, what is new at the Constitution Museum, Harbor cruise news, golf info, Michelle Topor's North End and Chinatown Tours,  several interesting upcoming invitations and a "fam" tour to Plymouth.....whew!  As you can see, this one is not to be missed!

In addition to all of the newsworthy items, you will be entertained by Fife & Drums and a historic actor portraying the "Commandant", as well as incredible food and beverage provided by the Barbara Lynch group.

Getting to the Charlestown Navy Yard is as easy as taking the Ferry across from Marriott Long Wharf.  It runs every fifteen minutes, costs $1.70 and the last one leaves the yard at 8:15pm. If you do intend to drive, you may park for $7.00 at the Nautica Parking Garage (info at commandantshouse.com).

Also, you are welcome to bring a guest, but please RSVP as soon as possible, but at least by Monday, May the 11th.  The F&B portion will begin at the Commandant's House at 5pm and will then move over to the USS Constitution Museum for the meeting and presentations which will begin promptly at 6:15pm. It will culminate with dessert served after the meeting in time to get you to the last ferry by 8:15pm.

I look forward to seeing all that can make it and wish you a busy and productive May!

All the best,

Ellen
