Valentine Party at
Ellis Adult Day Health Center
Dear Greater Boston Concierge Association Member, The GBCA will be conducting a coat drive from January 26th-February 12th to benefit the Ellis Memorial Senior Center in the South End. Donations of gently worn hats, gloves, scarves and jackets are greatly appreciated! Donations may be brought to either Adam Castiglioni at the Sheraton Boston Hotel or to Robert Morrissette at the Boston Harbor Hotel. Coats can also be brought to the upcoming GBCA February meeting (details to follow). Thank you for your generosity! The GBCA will also be creating Valentine's cards for the clients at the Ellis Senior Center to be presented to them on February 13th at 11am. If you are interested in donating a card or donating your time on February 13th to visit with the folks at the center, and if you can donate any soda, juice or cookies (sugar- free preferred) please contact Adam at acastigl_99@yahoo.com.
If you can write out a Valentine card, you can write a general message and we will put names on the envelopes when we get a list from the Center.
The Ellis Memorial Adult Day Health program is designed to keep elders and disabled adults living independently in the community and to prevent or delay institutionalization. This program seeks to maintain optimal levels of functioning by increasing clients' socialization and activity levels. Our professional staff works in partnership with families, doctors, and home service providers to deliver the best care to the population we serve.
In the past our great friend and colleague, Jonathan Pride, kept us in touch with this marvelous group of people. We would like to offer this first outreach effort of the GBCA in 2009 as a tribute to his generous and caring spirit which inspired us all. This event will mark about one year since his death.
Sincerely,
Adam
