Serious MERRIMENT in Georgetown!

This Sunday, December 6th

From noon - 4 pm, in our very own Georgetown shop courtyard, we’re crafting wonderful ornaments and delights for the holidays. Led by our friends from craft*monger. FREE, all ages welcome.

And from 3 - 6 pm, down in the heart of Georgetown: Proper Topper will be selling American Girl books (10% of proceeds go to the Prevention of Blindness Society), with author Valerie Tripp on hand signing books & greeting her fans. All around us, there will be: carriage rides, a live performance by Noggin band “Milkshake,” photos with Santa, caroling & a twilight boat parade in Washington Harbor.

See the full schedule here.

Advice for the Gift-Lorn

Is your head aching already from the tough cases on your holiday list? SEND 'em our way! We love finding gifts for the seriously-hard-to-buy-for. (Like this cheese extravaganza.) With our advice-columnist hats on, we're sharing our best ideas and favorite gift stories over here on our blog.

We loved (and were inpired by & were delighted to be featured in) the Washington Post's "Present, perfect," a look at favorite gift stories from local "notables."

Oh, AND - did you see the whisky rocks featured in today's Post? Surely you know someone who needs these gems.
