shopping without dropping...

...we'll show you the way! Through Christmas, we're giving you an extra hour in the day with our extended holiday hours. We're giving you sustenance and rewards by serving up cider & savings on Thursdays and Sundays. We're making your dollars work to improve literacy by giving 5% to our city's libraries (read on!). And, of course, we're at the ready to help you find just the right gift for everyone (did you see us as the Washington Post's pick for one-stop shopping ?). Now you can relax and enjoy "A Christmas Story" one more time. (Maybe even Ralphie will have an easier time of it this year.)

the gift of reading

Each Monday in December, Proper Topper will contribute 5% of sales to the DC Public Library Foundation to help fund vital literacy campaigns across the city.

Shop to your heart's content, and know that you are helping to provide invaluable community services. While you're here, be sure to pick up some community-minded gifts: our Benefit for the DC Libraries CD (wonderful DC artists, all proceeds go to the DCPL Foundation) and Harold + The Purple Library tee (proceeds go to the Georgetown Recovery & Restoration Fund).
