| Dear Pinemere Families and Friends,
The sun is shining, flowers are blossoming, and camp is just 79 days away!! Toby is currently is Israel training our six new Shlichim (Israeli Staff)and two Tzofim (Israeli Scouts). The Israeli staff are excited for the summer and can not wait to experience Pinemere!
The Pinemere professional staff has had another busy month. In March, we attended the Foundation for Jewish Camp's Leaders Assembly Conference and the American Camp Association's Tri-State Camp Conference. These conferences, along with the sunshine, have made us pumped for Summer 2010!

Keep an eye out for the Family Mailing. Important information and forms were included in this mailing. Pinemere is going green; the Family Handbook & Packing List will be available on our website (in the Parents section, click Forms), beginning April 16th.

Pinemere Financial Aid Fund
|
Help
transform the lives of children.
Please consider making a gift of $100 to the Pinemere Financial Aid Fund.
Financial assistance remains an area of great need.
Requests for aid increased again this
year and we anticipate the need for aid will continue to grow.
We
learn from Maimonides that the greatest gift of charity is one that helps his
fellow Jew with a gift. So, we are now asking
for your help in transforming the lives of children by allowing them to
experience summer camp.
Donations can be made on our website homepage, www.pinemere.com,
by clicking on the pink "Donate" button. Please make sure to write,
"Financial Aid" under the Designate my Donation section. Donations can also be sent directly to our
Philadelphia office.
All gifts, both big and small, are appreciated. The Pinemere community is grateful for your continued support.

Gratz Brings American Girl Author to Philadelphia
|
The Kehillah of Old York Road has awarded Gratz College
a grant for the "Tuttleman Library Seek and Find" events and the
"American Girl Author" program. Gratz will host Jacqueline Dembar
Greene, author of the Rebecca Rubin™American Girl books, on Sunday, June
13. She will talk about how she created the Rebecca character and used history
and family stories to make Jewish life in 1914 come alive. |
M.S. in Camp Administration and Leadership
|
Touro University Nevada, a
non-profit, Jewish-affiliated, private institution, was established to
help address critical needs in health sciences and education. The Master of Science in Camp Administration and
Leadership degree at Touro University Nevada provides
aspiring and current camp leaders with strategic and tactical training
to organize, manage, and lead camps. This program is the first program
of its type offered in the United States. Coursework is completely
online with a six-credit practicum at your camp site.
The
specialized curriculum, developed by leading camp professionals,
prepares administrators in the areas of camp management, budgeting,
finance and operations. It also integrates training in leadership,
