New Programs For Camp 2009!

Your old favorites will be back, and here are some new exciting things to look forward to...

New in 2009

Every year we add new things to camp, and we are excited to announce just a few of the things you will see at camp this summer!

Clinics:  During first and second session, we will offer three day clinics which will allow campers to spend time focusing on an art, music or sports activity.  These will be available at a nominal fee, and more information will be sent to you this spring.

Woodworking:  Meir Ayash (Toby's hubby) has been teaching kids how to create things with wood for more than 10 years, and this summer he will be opening up a woodshop at camp!  This will be offered as a traveling unit activity and a hobby.  Bring all of your building projects to camp or pick one of Meir's many projects.

Camp Rock:  Building upon what was started during Artsfest in 2008, our music specialist Hadar Israeli, will be back in 2009 and will be running a music instruction program.  If you've always wanted to learn to play guitar so you can strum along at Sing on Saturday or play in a "rock" band, this will be your chance!

  SPARK Dates & Younger Siblings
A Taste of Pinemere for 1st-3rd Graders and Incentives Money for Camp

SPARKSPARK is our 3-day camp program designed to get kids interested in Jewish overnight camping.  Our program is open to campers entering 1st-3rd grade who want to experience all that Pinemere has to offer.  Campers participate in sports, arts, music, water activities, and join our Shabbat celebrations.  The SPARK program will take place July 17-19th.  To download an application click here

New Camper Incentive Program is a donor-funded gift of $500 for any first-time 1st-3rd grade camper to attend Pinemere for 7, 4 or 3 weeks.  If you have a younger sibling who is interested, please get in touch with us soon, as this is a limited offer.

Tell Your Family and Friends about your Summer Home at Pinemere

We rely on our "family" members to share the Pinemere experience with others - relatives, friends, neighbors and members of the greater Jewish community. This is how we've become who we are today, and how we'll secure our future...and you can get a $100 credit for referrals that enroll at camp!  (Additional incentives will be announced in the coming month).

If you have questions about our referral program or would like to host a recruitment event at your home, please contact Rachel at 215-487-2267 x 102 or Rachel@Pinemere.com.
Welcome David Minkoff!

David David Minkoff is the newest addition to Pinemere's year-round staff.  As Director of Operations, David will oversee the facilities, food service, the health center, and financial issues, among other day-to-day functions.

David is not new to Jewish camping.  As a child, he went to Marom Day Camp in suburban Philadelphia and Camp Ramah in the Poconos.  After graduating from Penn State with a B.S. in Marketing, and while attending Temple University in pursuit of his M.B.A. degree, David worked at Camp Canadensis and was the Senior Boys Head Counselor in his last summer.

David resides in Elkins Park, PA with his wife Debbie (Melamut) who was a Pinemere camper, CIT and staff member back in the '70s, and sons Lee and Jake.

If you would like to get in touch with David, and welcome him to Pinemere, he can be reached at David@Pinemere.com or 215-487-2267 x 106.
