Reunion Wrap Up

Row Girls at ReunionThank you for everyone who attended the reunion.  We created a new slideshow with pictures taken that day, you can see it by clicking here.  In addition to having a great time bowling and being together with camp friends, we also did a great job collecting cans of tuna for JRA.  The staff at JRA want to give a big THANK YOU to all the members of the Pinemere camp community that helped.

For more information about JRA, visit www.JewishRelief.org.

JEM - Jewish Educational Moment
Tu B'Shevat

TreeTu B'Shevat marks the "New Year for Trees", and recognize the many gifts that nature provides.  The name Tu B'Shevat simply comes from the Hebrew date of the holiday, which occurs on the 15th day of Shevat (much like the American holiday "4th of July").  At Pinemere Camp, we love this holiday because it's a chance for us to celebrate the earth and it makes us feel particularly lucky to spend each summer in such a beautiful location in Stroudsburg, PA, surrounded by trees!

Although it's still a few months until we can all return to the nature we enjoy at camp, we found some fun ways to celebrate the holiday online.  Visit Tu B'Shevat central by clicking here.
