Tu B'Shevat marks the "New Year for Trees", and recognize the many gifts that nature provides.  The name Tu B'Shevat simply comes from the Hebrew date of the holiday, which occurs on the 15th day of Shevat (much like the American holiday "4th of July").  At Pinemere Camp, we love this holiday because it's a chance for us to celebrate the earth and it makes us feel particularly lucky to spend each summer in such a beautiful location in Stroudsburg, PA, surrounded by trees!
