| Principles of a Martial Artist |

In this issue of the Academy E-News, we will explore
another of the eight principles of the true martial
artist-gratitude.
Fall is here!! That means the holiday times are almost
here. It is a busy, joyful, and beautiful time of the
season.
From Thanksgiving to Christmas and
Hanukkah throughout the new year. It is a time for rest
and rejuvenation and time to spend with family and
friends. Most importantly it is a time to be thankful, but
why wait to be Thankful and have an "Attitude of
Gratitude"

what they did for you, but it's more important that you
learn how to express appreciation."

Bullying Comes Home

Bullying is not new but thanks to the Internet teens are
now being bullied at home. Online harassment, more
often called cyberbullying, is a serious problem.
When bullying comes home via the Internet it can
leave victims feeling helpless and overwhelmed.

OVERCOMING G-A-S ................
G-A-S = General Adaptation Syndrome
Originally described by Hans De Solye in the 1920s,
the general adaptation syndrome describes a three
stage reaction to stress. Stressors in humans include
a wide range of strong external stimuli, both
physiological and psychological, which can cause a
physiological response.
Physical stressors, such as starvation, being hit by a
car, suffering through severe weather, or even the self
imposed physical stress of your personal workout
sessions. Additionally, humans can suffer emotional
or mental stress, such as the loss of a loved one, the
inability to solve a problem, or even having a difficult
day at work.

World class Jiu-jitsu instructor, Sifu Eddie Camden
will be at our Affiliate School in Atlanta;
IMPACT MARTIAL ARTS ACADEMY
to conduct a two hour seminar at the East Cobb Team
Tiger location.
Sifu Camden is Shihan McElwee's Jiu Jitsu instructor
and a Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under
Professor Pedro Sauer. Including the Black Belt in
Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, he holds multiple instructor
ranks and six different black belts, under some of the
most highly regarded martial arts instructors in the
world, including Sifu Francis Fong, Guru Dan
Inosanto,
and Professor Pedro Sauer.
In addition to training with Professor Sauer, Sifu
Camden has also trained with numerous Gracie
family
members including Royce, Royler, Rorion, Rener,
Ryron, Ralek and the late Grandmaster Helio Gracie
himself. He has also trained with Gracie Brazilian Jiu-
Jitsu specialist Pedro Valente and trained and taught
beside Romero Calvalcanti.
This a unique opportunity to train with a world class
Gracie Jiu jitsu Blackbelt, whose background includes
extensive training in: Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Wing
Chun, Kali, Muay Thai, and Jeet Kune Do. The
seminar is open to students of all skill levels but
