"Learn how to separate the majors and the minors. A lot of people don't do well simply because they major in minor things."

Don't sweat the small stuff, and it's all small stuff !

"Be Like Water, Fill The Void"

OK, probably a little Zen for most people, but in the martial arts the pliability of water is often examined as the proper path to take in a crisis.
When water flows down hill, it simply goes around obstacles, fills in openings and continues forward. This is a very valid strategy for people in all aspects of life both business and personal.

To use this concept completely you must have insight as to what is really going on and what "openings" are available for you to take advantage of. In a world surrounded by negativity, you need to remain positive and focused on forward moving action plans.

    "DEALING WITH BULLIES"

Bully Defense and Making the Right Choices

    DID YOU KNOW? -
Experts tell us at least 1 in 2 children will be bullied at school, on the walk home, at a park or other outing. - In a recent survey of middle and high school students, more than 75% surveyed said they had been bullied.

    EDUCATE YOUR CHILDREN
Talk to your children directly about the kinds of bullying behaviors: verbal harassment, threats for money or other valuables, ethnic or racial slurs, following or stalking at school or anywhere, being bullied on-line, being singled or shut out of group behaviors and pushing or hitting.
It is important for parents to recognize their child may not understand what bullying really means and when they should ask for help. As with any personal safety training for children, each child should know how to contact their parents or guardian at all times, how to identify and get to a safe place or zone in any situation and, how to call and provide information to 911.

"3 Key Strategies for a Winning Martial Arts Nutrition Plan"
    By Billy Hofacker

Martial athletes are constantly looking for the next miracle supplement or food product that is going to deliver peak performance.
Unfortunately, big companies that sell such products are more concerned with profit than the overall well- being of the consumer. They spend big bucks on marketing the "health benefits" of their supplements because people continue to fall into the trap. For example, "In 2000, approximately 158 million Americans consumed $17.1 billion worth of dietary supplements of dubious benefit, while exercising on $2.4 billion worth of equipment ranging from abdominal 'slimming' boards, stationary bicycles, beltless treadmills and 'gliders,' to face and neck 'shapers.'"
The goal of this article is to arm you with three successful strategies for a winning Martial Arts nutrition plan that will improve performance and develop better decision making when purchasing food and supplements.
