The image above shows 5 helpful tools when reading lab reports:
- Automated Patient Recall
- c.c. this report to a colleague
- Tagging or bookmarking this lab report
- Making notes
- Automated logs
Automated Patient Recall. Choose a recall date then click the recall button. The day before the recall date, your receptionist will receive an email reminding her to recall this patient.
c.c. this report to a colleague. Forward this report to any doctor registered with the HPCSA (uses the same engine as the referral and consultation notes described in future emails).
Tagging. Bookmark reports that you need to find quickly.
Notes. Scribble notes about this test result.
Logs. SMSes, recall dates etc. are all logged for future reference.
You can use whichever laboratory you prefer - all results come to the same place.

- Integrated radiology
- Bluebird's secure vault (secure storage for your clinical documents)
- Platform specific applications for Windows, Apple, iPhone and iPod
- The Bluebird Black Box, a managed server appliance designed for premium clients (those that use the Bluebird practice management and EMR). The BBBB takes the hassle out of practice IT.
