Special Service this Sunday, July 10 at 10:00 AM
We will have one worship service this Sunday, July 10 at 10 AM, which will also serve as our installation service into the Central South Presbytery of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. We will have Sunday School for Nursery - 5th grade, but, as always, we encourage you to bring your children to the worship service. The service will be followed by a luncheon. Please email Dana ( dana@rivercommunity.org) if you can bring potato salad, green salad, or dessert to the lunch on Sunday.

Worship One...Serve One
Volunteer Recruiting for August 2011 - December 2011
Worship One...Serve One - what does that mean? It means that we are asking people to give the Lord their entire Sunday morning by attending worship at one service and serving during the other. The whole morning? Yes. Every Sunday? Yes. (Substitutes are available for the occasional absence.) Do you realize what I would have to sacrifice? Yes. Will God be glorified by my sacrifice and service to the church? Maybe. It depends on your heart - your motivation and your attitude.
Our biggest need right now is for the toddler and preschool classes. (If you have elementary aged children, please plan to attend the 9:00 AM service with your children and serve at 10:45 while your children attend Sunday School.) Summer Chat, Thursdays at 9 AM
Looking for something to do this summer? A group from River is meeting each Thursday at 9 AM during the summer. On Thursday, July 7, they're going to Kelly Dean's house (12533 Parkmeadow Avenue, BR, 70816) to do "Crafts with Kelly!" Have the kids wear clothes they can get paint on or bring a paint shirt. River Student Ministry Fundraiser Dinner
Wednesday, July 20 at 6:00 PM
Please plan to enjoy a wonderful summer evening at church on Wednesday, July 20. Dinner will be served at 6:00 PM followed by a short, but sure to be entertaining, report from the middle school summer camp and the high school mission trip.
Donations will be taken for dinner, and the money will be used to cover the transportation costs of the middle school camp and the high school mission trip. This is a great opportunity to support our students and to get other students excited about future trips.
