A Prayer Service for Haiti
Wednesday, January 27 6:00-6:45 PM We want to respond as a church community to the suffering of the people of Haiti. Next Wednesday night (January 27), we will have a prayer service to lift the whole community up to God, mourn with them over their great loss, and beg the Lord to increase his kingdom in the midst of this tragedy. We invite you to also consider fasting from dinner Wednesday and giving the money that you would have spent on dinner to one of several relief organizations that we will be praying for that evening. Childcare is provided for nursery thru preschool. Older children are invited to attend the service. |

Dessert, Devotions, and Discussion
a ladies' (and teenaged girls') gathering at River
Ladies, we have an evening coming up specifically designed to help you connect with God and with your sisters in Christ. Join us Friday, February 5th for dessert, devotions, and delightful discussion. We'll indulge in tasty food, hang out, get to know Chris Shipley as she shares her testimony, and dive into the Word together.
We'll also be introducing new small groups for ladies who don't yet have a group. Carve out an evening to refocus, reconnect, and start the year off right!

Intro to Membership Class: Feb 7, 14, and 21
The class has several simple purposes, all of which are designed to help you feel more at home here. You'll get to know some other newer people and you'll get to spend some time with church leaders. We'll cover the beliefs and structure of the church and we'll look at opportunities to get involved. The course is free and there is zero obligation to become a member at the end. No arm twisting here.
The class consists of three sessions, which will meet right after the second service on Sunday afternoons from 12-3pm. The dates are: Feb 7th, 14th and 21st. Each class is different and all are vital to the course. Lunch will be provided as will childcare.
