Remembering David:   I recently had the privilege to honor David in a two-part interview with Carrie Abbott, president of The Legacy Institute.

Carrie had asked me in June if I wanted to be interviewed on her daily radio program, "Legacy Out Loud."  I wasn't quite ready then, but last Friday, we had a nice chat in front of microphones about David, his 30 year ministry and our journey with Alzheimer's that gradually took him from us to his heavenly reward on this past March 17th.

I invite you to listen to the interview at your convenience by clicking on this link at the Legacy Institute's archive page.  Part I is on September 17th, followed by part II on September 18th.  You need to scroll down a little to find the "Honoring David Shelton" links.
Carrie is very gifted at hosting her program and directed the interview in a warm and interesting way.  In addition to asking me about David and his decades of performing for the Lord, Carrie explains how The Legacy Institute uses David's DVD performance of "The Great King" as the basis of their 4th grade curriculum to teach about the Father heart of God.  I'm very excited for you to hear it!  Each program is 30 minutes long and includes an excerpt of David in performance. It is so wonderful to hear his voice.  If you've never seen "The Great King" we have it on DVD.
Here is a video excerpt for you.  We also have the entire trilogy available in a CD set including "Children of The Great King" and "Return of the Crown Prince" as well as his book of the entire trilogy.

Read more about David's many other DVDs, CDs and his book.

Another way that David's legacy continues is through the many students and other ministry colleagues he influenced.

"I am so glad you did the interview with Mrs Shelton.  My life was changed by Mr Shelton's ministry. I used to think that acting was an idol but Mr Shelton helped me understand what a powerful gift it was to be used for the Kingdom."  -  Hannah
