Happy Easter from Debra Shelton

HAPPY RESURRECTION DAY!

This day has a special significance for our family. Most of you know that on this past March 17th, David received his eternal reward and was taken home to heaven. After nearly nine years of battling Alzheimer's with the utmost faith, courage and integrity, David's earthly tent wore out.  We have truly experienced what the Apostle Paul describes as "The peace that passes all understanding" and have been buoyed up by the prayers of so many. We take such comfort knowing David is 100% healed and with his Savior Whom he served his entire adult life. Click on this link to read David's obituary and see photos from his memorial services.

Some of you may be wondering, "What now?"

It has been clear over the last six years, since David became unable to take stage himself, that his legacy and ministry of nearly three decades continues through his performances that we still have available on our website. David's legacy is also ongoing through the many students who have participated in our drama camps and weekly youth performance teams over the years. Many of them are serving the Lord with their God-given gifts. As well, David's "The Great King" continues to be the focal point of the 4th grade curriculum for The Legacy Institute, which reaches across the globe.

David Shelton Ministries will continue as a 501 ( c)3 nonprofit corporations able to receive tax deductible donations. We have three or four CD and DVD projects that David and I have always wanted to complete and your donations toward that effort are welcome.

I many times told David as he would become discouraged as he fought this debilitating disease, "You, my beloved husband, are respected in the gates." And he still is and always will be. I am most blessed among women to have had the incredible privilege of being David's wife and mom of our three wonderful children Paul, Jessica and Connor, all of whom have been so brave. We truly are grateful for the countless expressions of sympathy and appreciate your continued prayers.

Grieving and Rejoicing at the same time,

Debra, proudly Mrs. David Shelton

Psalm 23
A psalm of David.

1 The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,

3 he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name's sake.

4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley,[

aI will fear no evil,  for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.

You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me  all the days of my life,

and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
