The orchard is open again.  Thanks to everyone who came out to visit last Friday or Saturday!  We will be open each Friday and Saturday this month from 9-5 and closed Sunday through Thursday.
 
I'll be in the kitchen making cider donuts.  And speaking of apple cider, we have cider for sale today too. 
  
Just a reminder that your Thank You Program Cards from 2009 are still good.  Many people are either at their discount or only two visits away from getting their discount. 
Recipe of the Week

I received a number of nice comments about last week's recipe.  I'm glad so many people enjoyed the creamy chicken thighs with baked potatoes or buttered noodles.  Luckily I worked through my technical problems and the recipe is now on our web page.  So if you didn't get a chance to read last week's newsletter, you can still find the recipe here.
 
This week's recipe is for Peach Cobbler.  Can you tell it is getting harder and harder for me to find a new recipe every week?  No, we don't have fresh peaches...but...we do have our own canned peaches from this past summer which are so much better than grocery store peaches.  (Yes, I am biased, but I still believe that to be very true!)  So try this recipe with the canned peaches and let me know what you think.  Actually, give any of the peach recipes a try with the canned peaches.  Peaches are so good you don't want to wait until August, right?
 
The peaches are available in either heavy syrup, light syrup, or no sugar added.  Personally, I love the heavy syrup, but if you prefer less sugar we can still take care of you!
