Recipe for Baked Spaghetti Squash

Greetings!

The corn maze will be open tonight for one more flashlight maze, entrance is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. This is your last chance to give the maze a try, after tonight it will be closed until next Labor Day Weekend. Admission is $7 for ages 3 and older.

As we get closer to Thanksgiving, remember you can order delicious, freshly baked apple, pumpkin, and shoefly pies ahead of time. Or purchase neck pumpkins to make your own pumpkin pies (recipe is on our web site). If you're visiting friends and family, consider taking a beautiful apple basket with you. Order forms are available at the stand. If possible, please try to give us at least 24 hours notice when placing fruit basket orders.

Pink Lady apples are new this week. That makes seventeen different kinds of apples in the stand for you to choose from and very soon there will be some Granny Smith as well. We do not have very many Granny Smith - the trees are very young so each tree only has a few. They'll be in sometime next week.

It's also time to get potatoes... 20 and 50 pound bags of potatoes are available. We have red skin and white.

Recipe of the Week

This week's recipe is for Baked Spaghetti Squash. The recipe originally called for spaghetti. We made it twice, once with spaghetti and once with spaghetti squash. My mother and my son both prefer it with the squash! Dan and I really liked both and my daughters, well, they don't like their foods mixed so I can't count their votes! :) So give this one a try and let us know what you think.

Reminder: New Hours

Just a reminder that our hours for November and December have changed. The farm stand is open Monday through Saturday 9 am to 5 pm, and Sunday 11 am to 5 pm. The Corn Maze and U-Pick have closed (except for the flashlight maze tonight).

Starting next week I will probably have the large garage doors closed but please don't think we are closed! We're just trying to keep some heat in as the weather starts to get cooler. We're still open and you can come in through the regular door right next to the garage doors.
