Greetings!
What do Gala Apples, Corn Maze, Spaghetti Bread, Whoopie Pies, and Honeycrisp apples all have in common? They all start Saturday!
U-pick apples start this Saturday and continue every weekend in September and October. This weekend you can pick Gala apples. Each weekend will be different so keep an eye on these newsletters to know what apples you can pick each week. U-Pick Hours are Saturday 9-5, Sunday 11-5, and Labor Day 9-5.
The
corn maze also starts this weekend. Don't forget to tell all of the teachers that you know that they are
free all weekend long with their school id. (I used to be a teacher and appreciate all of the hard work that goes into teaching. It's our way of saying thanks for helping our communities' children.) Maze hours are Saturday 9-5, Sunday 11-5, and Labor Day 9-5.
O.K. - u-pick, corn maze... you're thinking, "That makes sense...but Spaghetti bread?? What are you talking about?" I knew you were. But I haven't lost my mind, at least not all of it anyway. I'm sure my employees will tell you I have, but those are stories not to be repeated! Anyhow, starting Saturday we will have some amazing baked goods. Back by request, are the famous breads of the Pennsylvania Bakery. Choose from these delicious breads: spaghetti, cheddar, cobblestone (apple and walnut), cinnamon swirl, and zucchini. But hurry - they're bound to go quickly!
There will also be cookies, whoopie pies, and apple dumplings this weekend.
And lastly...for those of you who have been waiting for this news...Honeycrisp apples will be available starting Saturday. Our trees are young so we don't have as many honeycrisp as our other varieties. I'm sure we'll have them all weekend, but I doubt they'll be around all month.
So - that's a lot of reasons why you should find some time in your busy Labor Day Weekend to stop by. (Plus I like to see you so find me and say hello! You might have to play hide and seek. I could be in the stand, in the maze, or driving a tractor for our free wagon rides.)
