Bartlett Pears, Peaches, and Apples

Greetings!

Bartlett Pears are the newest items at the stand - just picked and waiting for you. Hopefully you'll enjoy the pear recipe I've included as well!

August is still Peach Month... You can get them all month and also into the beginning of September. Hurry before they're gone!

September and October are apple months. (Can you believe it's almost September??) The season is just beginning, but in a few weeks we'll be picking lots and lots of apples. Right now you can get Summer Rambo (a tart apple most often used for cooking) and Ginger Gold (a sweeter apple used for snacking, in salads, cooking, and making apple sauce).

It's only 15 days to u-pick apples! I'll let you know each week what varieties will be available.

We're now hiring weekend help for the kitchen, farm stand, corn maze, and u-pick for now through the end of October.

Also hiring Farm Educators (we'll train you!) for weekdays from late September through early November. It's short and fun!

Instead of joining the gym, let us pay you to be outdoors and walk the maze! (This is probably my favorite thing to do, but with so much going on I'm usually needed elsewhere and could use your help.)

Or if you're looking for something less active, selling maze tickets and u-pick apples is for you.

Farm Educators teach our young school-aged visitors about agriculture. You get to have great conversations with young children and take them on a wagon ride through the orchard to pick apples. We will teach you everything you need to know! Currently looking for morning help on Monday, Wednesday, and/or Fridays from late September through early November.

It's almost CORN MAZE TIME!

Only 15 days until the maze and u-pick apples is open! Opening day is Saturday, September 5th. The maze and u-pick will be open every Saturday in September and October from 9 to 5 and every Sunday from 11 to 5.
