Make Your Own Strawberry Jelly

Greetings!

This newsletter is coming to you a day earlier than usual because I wanted to announce our NEW hours.

Starting today, you can come anytime from 9 am to 9 pm Monday through Saturday to get fresh produce, a delicious strawberry sundae, a thick milkshake, or a scoop of Hershey's ice cream. Sunday hours have not changed, they are 11 am to 5 pm.

Sometimes it's hard to come for ice cream in the middle of the day, so we hope you'll enjoy the new evening hours.

Here's a recipe to make your own strawberry jelly. It's easy to do. Come out now to get your strawberries - they will be gone before you know it! We expect to have them for another week and a half.

U-Pick - When will it start?

I have had a lot of people e-mail or call me to ask about our u-pick. The first u-pick will be u-pick blueberries. We anticipate U-Pick Blueberries to begin Saturday, July 4th. It's hard to say this with complete assurance because we need the warmer weather to ripen the berries.

U-Pick is not everyday. They are still young plants, but they are loaded. We have decided to have u-pick every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from July 4th through the end of July. The hours will be from 9 am to 1 pm and the cost will be the same as last year, $2/pound. We purchased buckets for you to use this year. You can pick into the buckets and transfer the berries into your own containers or you can purchase the bucket and take it home.

I will keep you posted as we get closer to the 4th to let you know of any changes.

Don't forget today is Jubilee Day. Have a fun time and then come out for some delicious ice cream treats afterwards!
