Greetings!
The season is coming to a close. It has been just over nine years since Dan and I bought the orchard from the Mowery family. That's hard for me to believe because it seems like it wasn't that long ago. In that time we have gotten to know many of you and are happy to call you our friends. We enjoy your visits very much and will miss that time together. We've also had a great group of employees this year and will miss them too.
Now is the season for Dan to trim the trees. It takes the entire winter to do that job. There are over 25,000 trees and each tree is hand trimmed so Dan will be very busy! I get to switch roles. I get to be a stay at home mom once again and go to the class parties and on the field trips. I am lucky to have the best of both worlds. (I can't say that without thinking of Hannah Montana - can you tell I have two young daughters? If you don't know who Hannah Montana is, you must not have young daughters!)
Anyhow, we hope you have a blessed Christmas and we look forward to seeing you again next season. This will be my last e-mail of the year. I will e-mail you again when it's u-pick blueberry time and peach time!
The farm stand will close for the year on Tuesday at 6 pm. Stop by soon to stock up on apples and potatoes. Plus, many people have just one more visit to get their Thank You Program discount. Don't miss out!
