~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lots of changes this week! Gala apples, Red Bartlett Pears, and Yellow Bartlett Pears are new this week. Stanley Prune Plums (the small blue football shaped plums that many people have been asking me about) will be picked today and in the stand on Saturday.
Canned Peaches are in too. Yes it seems funny for me to tell you about canned peaches since we are selling fresh peaches - but these are special. They are special because they are our peaches from this year. We just had them canned last week. There are three different kinds - heavy syrup, light syrup, and no sugar added.

Get a Free Maze Ticket ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Help us reach our goal of raising $1,000 for the American Cancer Society. Donate a $20 (or more) gift basket for our fundraising weekend of September 13th and 14th and we will give you a free corn maze ticket.
The "gift basket" can be ANYTHING! It can be a gift certificate to your place of business, a painting, a houseplant, a great book... you get the picture. It doesn't have to actually be a basket. Everyone can come up with something! And in return, we'll give you a free corn maze ticket! You can use it yourself or give it to someone you like (or someone you don't like if you hope they'll get lost and never come out!).
There will be a silent auction running all weekend (Sept. 13-14) for all items donated.
One hundred percent of the money raised from the auction will go to the Cancer Society. So donate a basket (or gift or gift certificate) and you will help a great cause, promote your own business at the same time, and get a free maze ticket!
In addition, half of all corn maze admissions for the entire weekend will be donated to the Cancer Society. Please contact us by September 6th if you can make a donation for the auction. |

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Here is a recipe for another Paulus summer favorite, Cucumbers and Onions. Dan's grandmother used to make this for almost every family party. It's simple and makes a great dish to take to a Labor Day Picnic!
