Homemade Peach Ice Cream
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Every time we make this recipe, I think of high school football. That's because the first time I ever had homemade peach ice cream was about 20 years ago after my brother-in-law's high school football game. It must have been one of the first games of the season, since peaches will only be around a few more weeks. That part I can't remember, and I can't remember if Mechanicsburg (his team) won that night either, although they usually did. But I do remember the night being cold, my father-in-law putting his arm around me to keep me warm, and eating the yummy - and very cold - ice cream. It was so good. Funny how we tie so many memories to food - but I already talked about that last month, didn't I?
Anyhow, enjoy the ice cream - and feel free to save me some!
Get a Free Maze Ticket
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Help us reach our goal of raising $1,000 for the American Cancer Society. Donate a $20 (or more) gift basket for our fundraising weekend of September 13th and 14th and we will give you a free corn maze ticket. There will be a silent auction running all weekend. (Last week I said raffle, but I think we'll raise more for the Cancer Society as an auction. Sorry for the change!). One hundred percent of the money raised from the auction will go to the Cancer Society. So donate a basket (or gift or gift certificate) and you will help a great cause, promote your own business at the same time, and get a free maze ticket! In addition, half of all corn maze admissions for the entire weekend will be donated to the Cancer Society. Please contact us by September 6th if you can make a donation for the auction. |
