It's Peach Time

Greetings!

The first bite of the first soft, juicy peach of the year always seems better to me than I expect it to be. And I expect it to be great! I'm always anxious. I love peaches. That first bite never fails to amaze me. I had that first bite last night. Lauren, my daughter, had that first bite about 2 days before me because she couldn't stand waiting for it to get a little softer. It's really tough looking at it on the kitchen counter and not eating it. She told me she loved it. Somehow I forced myself to wait - knowing it would be worth it. It was. Sorry - I didn't save any of it for you. I ate the whole thing.

But you can come any day, starting Monday, to get your own peaches. The stand will be open seven days a week starting this Monday, July 21st. The hours are Monday through Friday 9-7, Saturday 9-5, and Sunday 11-5.

U-Pick Blueberries

If you haven't stocked up on blueberries yet, come on over. U-Pick Blueberries will continue on Saturdays and Tuesdays beginning at 9 am. The plants have had so many berries and this heat is really making them ripen. It should still be easy picking.

Thank You Program

Last year a Thank You Program was started to let you know that we appreciate you and to give you a special gift. The program will continue.

How does it work? It's so simple. There's nothing for you to carry, and definitely no more tags to attach to your keys. It's an index card with your name on it that is filed alphabetically at the farm. It's here every time you need it. Each time you make a purchase in the stand, the dollar amount is recorded on the card. After six purchases you get 10% of the total amount back as a discount on your seventh purchase. Say you only spend $15 each time you visit. After six purchases you have spent $90. You will get $9 worth of fruits and veggies free on your seventh purchase.

If you signed up last year, watch your mail. Your new card is being mailed to you very soon. Bring your card back to the orchard and get 10% off your first purchase simply as our thanks for bringing the card back.

Lodi and Transparent apples will still be available on Saturday during the u-pick hours and also in the stand on Monday. They make excellent apple sauce.
